 Today we noticed that the area for shipping Catalpa worms using Home Delivery and Ground for businesses has expanded. What this does is cut the price in half for shipping the prized catfish bait. We have had people drive from different states to use these in tournaments. Now its cheaper then driving across Indianapolis to get them delivered to YOUR DOORSTEP! The catalpa worm has been used for centuries in mostly southern states until now. Dont miss your chance to get some catalpa worms and store them in a freezer until your fishin g trip this summer. They last for atleast 6-8 months in a properly maintained freezer, conviently packaged in one dozen packages.

Minimum order 5 Dozen, Maximum of 15 dozen due to container size with freeze packs.

 The BLUE and RED (Near Indiana) areas are the newly expanded coverage areas we can ship safely to you using FedEx Home Delivery or Ground service according to FedEx in approximately 2-3 days. We will not ship out any orders received after Tuesday at midnight until the following Monday. This is to ensure the freshness of the bait arriving at your doorstep.

• Someone must be present to receive the package and put contents directly in a freezer.
• Shipping to Commercial addresses cost even less then shipping to a residence but ensure that you have a freezer at work before ordering.
• If you live outside the red or blue areas then you must select FedEx 2 Day Air for your delivery option.

Buy a raw chicken from your grocery store, suspend it in a cage over your pond from a tree limb or stand so animals can not get to it. When the flies lay their eggs in the chicken it will hatch small maggots which eventually fall off into the water and feed the fish. We got robbed!

Yesterday on June 22 2007. My father was watching the shop and things were going pretty slow. Then all of a sudden two hood robbers strategically positioned themselves in the store. Then over powered my father before he could react. They struck my father to the ground and held automatic weapons on him while robbing us and destroying our security equipment before their escape. Thank god my father wasn't injured. This is the third time in The Bait Barn history we have been robbed. This website is our hope to be able to generate enough income to move to a safer location in Indiana. We aren't here to rob anyone online just make a living. Were an honest family trying to compete with the big companies who have driven bait shops to almost extinction in America. We use the best rated merchant company online for security. The majority of our tackle products are shipped directly from our wholesaler since we are only a small shop with big dreams. Just trying to make a living

This David McCullough, I came back last year to help my parents run this bait shop in Indianapolis, IN. They originally had plans to restore a lake behind our property that a company years ago filled in. When one of the companies tried to buy us out my father refused to sell.(This isn't just our shop it's our home)So intern the company behind us ran a sewer line straight through our property to prevent us from having the lake restored and ultimately destroying any chance of expanding our business. The motive was clear if the lake isn't restored the under ground spring in our property is building up yearly and eventually will destroy any and all foundations around the spring until the water can be contained. We just filed a complaint with the city of Indianapolis since there was no easement or final inspection completed on the sewer line. My goal is to get this line removed from our property and install the lake. The DNR has given its blessing in hopes to get the lake dug out. The state has submitted a fine to the company behind us for the unauthorized sewer line. You may be saying right now...What does this have to do with the Bait Barn Blog? It's simple....We need your business! We have slashed prices to compete with the BIG BOYS around town and online.
